I’m Craig have over 30 years’ experience of performing on both acoustic and electronic drums (live and in studios) in the entertainments industry. I learnt my profession from meeting some of the best session drummers in the world, observing them perform at drum clinics and master classes. I also had the pleasure of attending a ‘Rhythm Drum Camp’ At Bath Spa University College.

I will guarantee you results by developing your overall drumming skills. My past and present students have a long list of achievements, which range from drumming qualifications, further education at music colleges, playing in a live band to simply playing their drums at home and knowing that they have attained a higher understanding of the instrument. I do this by getting to know you and introducing a drum programme that relates to your individual learning curve, this helps you develop at your own pace in a relaxed studio environment or at home.

Based at Stamford Bridge in York, I provide an extremely comfortable and professional studio setting where I teach on a superb Roland TD30 V Drums Electronic Kit.

Sonor and Tama drums are also available, along with additional percussion training on the Cajon at an agreed stage in your development. Alternatively, if you already own your kit, lessons can be taken in the comfort of your own home if preferred. No matter what type of drummer you aspire to be, lessons are tailored to cover all music styles e.g. Rock, Funk or Jazz. I will ensure that your lessons give you an understanding of the introductory Rudiments, the importance of Time and Feel and the personal satisfaction of hitting Great Beats. The end result will be a fuller understanding of the techniques that will make you a master of this wonderful art. And I promise, this journey will be Fun!
